At our assembly point "Ottofanten Meadow", 50 meters from the ski school office (Katschberg 425, 5582 St. Michael im Lungau)
the youth took a super cool skiing experience
It worked out great
We were late the first day, couldn’t get up the icy road leading to our house. The class of our kids had already left. The head teacher took our kids to test their level and later dropped them off at the class with a Dutch/English speaking teacher. And all staff, also in the shop was very very helpfull and friendly! Now that service!!!
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
This course is designed for teenagers who are skiing for the first time.
Your teen will learn the basics of skiing, make their first turns, and master the correct and safe technique in a fun and enjoyable way.
Yes, every Friday all students can demonstrate their skills in a ski school race.
The meeting time on the first day is 9:45 am at the "Ottofanten Meadow" assembly point, 50 metres from the ski school office.
The team includes instructors who speak different languages, such as English and Dutch. The staff is known for being very helpful and friendly.
