The ski instructor was fantastic. She knew exactly what my child needed. She was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Checking in at the ski school went smoothly and quickly.
My daughters (14 and 10) had private lessons together with Mathilde from Otto's Ski School. They had a blast and learned a tremendous amount. They'd never been on a ski holiday before, but thanks to Mathilde's lessons, they're definitely planning to go again! Gathering for lessons was a bit chaotic the first time, as you don't know exactly where to go. And it can get quite busy at and around the meeting point during the changeover times.

You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
Yes, the course is suitable for all levels. Whether the children are complete beginners or already have some experience, the instructor will tailor the programme to their abilities.
Yes, you can take part in the private course individually or together with your children, friends or other family members.
The meeting point on the first day is at the "Ottofanten Meadow" assembly point, 50 metres from the ski school office.
A private ski instructor can best cater to the individual needs of the participants. This ensures a programme tailored to their level and therefore quick learning success.
Fun is a top priority. The experienced ski instructors use child-friendly methods and offer playful lessons to ensure the kids have a great time.
