Our kids ski lessons for beginners in Lackenhof am Ötscher are ideal for all snow-loving children who have already gained some experience in skiing. Under the expert guidance of our ski instructors, every child between the ages of 5 and 16 can further develop their skills here. With exciting programs and methods, they are dedicated to making learning as fun as possible.
In this course, we focus on solidifying the foundation and deepening techniques such as stopping, schussing and snowploughing. In order to learn as efficiently as possible, we try not to have more than 10 children in a group. This way, your snow lovers will quickly reach their learning goals.
Lackenhof am Ötscher is the perfect area for children who are new to the sport, as it has many easy slopes to practise on after the basics are mastered. In the Kinderland, your children will find everything they need to become great skiers, such as a magic carpet. The flat area is perfect for making those first moves!
Meeting Time
On the first day of your course, please arrive at the Intersport shop in Lackenhof at least 30 minutes before the course starts (Käferbichlstraße 21/2, Eibenkogel valley station, 3295 Lackenhof) to collect your course card from the shop. The card contains all important participant and course details and entitles you to take part in the ski course. You can also collect your course card from the Intersport shop on the days before your course starts.
Afterwards, make your way to the respective meeting point:
Beginner Level 1: Children's area in Weitental
Beginner Level 2: In front of the Intersport shop
The children's area is about 700 metres from the shop. At the respective meeting point, hand your course card to the ski instructor.

Lunch Break
You are welcome to have lunch with your children during the lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Please pick them up at Intersport.
Equipment Rental
If you book including equipment, you can pick it up at our ski and snowboard rental until one hour before the start of the course or comfortably the day before. We are open daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Ski pass
For beginners, there is a special Kinderlandticket that needs to be bought online or on-site.
The ski pass required depends on your level:
Beginner – Level 1: The Kinderland ticket is sufficient for the first day of the course. At the end of the first day, ask your ski instructor which ski pass you need for the remaining days of the course.
Beginner – Level 2: You need a ski pass from the first day of the course.
Good to know
Lessons take place with a minimum of 4 participants. If there are fewer than 4 participants, the course price will be credited in the form of private lessons.
There were two levels for advanced skiers (according to the course description), but the second level wasn't offered. Therefore, the course was actually too easy. Nevertheless, the instructors were very friendly and attentive to the children. Unfortunately, only one slope was open that day, but that wasn't the fault of the ski course, although it did detract from the overall experience.

What should I wear for my lessons?
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
When should I collect my equipment?
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Where can I buy a ski pass?
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
