Learn to scuba dive with trial scuba diving for beginners in Marsalforn, Gozo! Experience what it feels like to be weightless and enjoy the sensation of being able to breathe under water. Learning to scuba dive in Malta is a particular treat, as the Maltese islands of Gozo, Comino, and Malta are considered to be some of the best diving spots in the Mediterranean, with an abundance of marine wild life to marvel at during your dives.
Goal of the course
During this course you will learn some basic skills including how to set up and use your equipment, how to properly equalize pressure, how to move forward under water and how to communicate with your instructor or your buddy. All this while being able to explore the submarine world of Malta's best diving sites. At the end of the course, you will receive a PADI Scuba Diver card and you will be registered in the PADI database. Note that PADI Discover Scuba Diving is not a full diving certification. If you would like to dive on your own accord, consider a full Open Water certification.
Meeting & Preparation
No prior knowledge or experience is needed for this course. We meet directly at the dive centre at 08:00 am on the day of the course. You will begin with the classroom portion of the course where you will learn some basic theory about safety and about how to use your equipment. All learning materials are provided and are included in the price. After the classroom session, we will head out to one of the dive spots and complete the practical part of the course in a shallow, protected area of the sea.
