Details
Becoming a certified diver in only two days may seem impossible, but it's not! In fact, the PADI Scuba Diver course is a shortened version of the PADI Open Water Diver course, which allows divers with less time on their hands to learn all the necessary basics of diving.
Goal of the course
During the PADI Scuba Diver course, you'll learn basic dive theory, the required dive skills for this certificate and how to properly handle your equipment. With the PADI Scuba Diver certificate, you'll be able to join professionally guided dives, diving up to 12 m.
Meeting & Preparation
Before the course, you will be expected to complete the theoretical part via e-Learning at home. On the first day of the course, depending on whether you'll use our hotel pick-up service or not, we'll either meet at your hotel between 8:10 and 8:45 am or at 8:10 am at our school's office in Rethymno. We'll then all be at 9 am at our beach base at Kalivaki beach. If you arrive by car, parking is widely available nearby. Once there, your instructor will give you a short briefing on the basics of diving, the safety rules and the equipment used. After the briefing, you'll be ready for your diving adventure!
If you wish to use our pick-up service, simply let us know beforehand and we'll gladly come pick you up from your hotel.
Course content
- Day 1: Theory Lesson + Practice in shallow water
- Day 2: 2 Open Water Dives
Children between the ages of 10 to 14 will receive the PADI Junior Scuba Diver certification which will automatically change to the adult certification once they turn 15.
Note: The order and length of the individual parts of the course can change and will be individually adapted by the instructor.

Can I take part if I can't swim, and are life jackets/floating devices provided (including for kids)?
No, participation in this course requires swimming ability.
What certification do I get?
You will receive a PADI Scuba Diver certificate, which allows you to join professionally guided dives up to 12 m deep. Participants aged 10-14 receive a PADI Junior Scuba Diver certification.
