Trial Scuba Diving for Kids (8-10 y) at Kalivaki Beach

Almost all diving lessons are only available for children from 10 years and older... but not this one! In fact, this lesson is specially designed for children from 8 to 10 years and is thus ideally suited for young adventurers who want to experience the marine life at first hand. Your little diver will learn everything adult divers learn too, get proper diving equipment and see the same things. The only difference is that young divers are only allowed to dive up to 2 m - but don't worry, there's plenty to explore in Crete's underwater world!

Dive area
For this trial scuba diving lesson, we stay in the bay at Kalivaki beach, where we can benefit from highly beginner-friendly conditions: sandy shore, shallow waters, great visibility and an awe-inspiring view on local underwater life - what more could you ask for?

Programme
- Meeting & Preparation:
Depending on whether your kids will use our hotel pick-up service or not, we'll either meet them at your hotel between 8:10 and 8:45 am or at 8:10 am at our school's office in Rethymno. We'll then all be at 9 a.m. at our beach base at Kalivaki beach. We'll then all arrive at 9 am at our beach base at Kalivaki beach. If you arrive by car, parking is widely available nearby. Once there, the instructor will give the children a short briefing on the basics of diving, the safety rules and the equipment used. After the briefing, they'll be ready for their diving adventure!
If you wish to use our pick-up service, simply let us know beforehand and we'll gladly come pick you up from your hotel.
- Diving:
Together with their instructor, the kids will start their shore dive from Kalivaki beach. During a 45-minute dive, they'll be able to dive up to 2 m deep and use the knowledge they'll have gained during the briefing: basic diving skills, underwater communication signals and understand the equipment's purpose.
- Return:
Once the activity is over, the little diving pros get back to the base where they can quickly rinse themselves and change. If you've opted for our pick-up service, they'll be brought back to your hotel.
