PADI Scuba Diver Course for Beginners in Santa Maria

Within a couple of days, you can earn your first real scuba diving certification with our PADI Scuba Diver Course for beginners. After training all the basics in our pool, you are ready to board our diving boat and experience your first open water dives. The clear water around Santa Maria Island ensures good visibility and volcanic rock formations offer lots of opportunities to explore this underwater paradise. As a certified PADI Scuba Diver, you are now allowed to go diving with an instructor during all your upcoming holidays.

Goal of the course
Within this program, you learn all the necessary skills needed to dive up to 12m deep under the supervision of a certified diving professional. We teach you the right handling of scuba equipment in our pool before you are ready to experience your first open water dives. You will receive access to the PADI e-learning material in advance and can complete the knowledge development sessions online. In this way, you have more time to focus on practical skills while you are in the diving centre. If you want to continue your diving education afterwards, you can start right where you left off in your PADI Scuba Diver course and complete the Open Water Diver certification in only two days

Meeting & Preparation
We meet at our diving centre located on the premises of Hotel Colombo in Vila do Porto (free parking available). Here you meet your instructors, receive the diving equipment and can use the changing rooms. As soon as everybody is ready, we start the course with a short theoretical introduction.
