Details
For athletes looking for a new challenge, the Riolan Canyon is ready to welcome you. Considered one of the most beautiful canyoning sites in France, it offers a fun descent in a breathtaking mineral and aquatic setting. Your Couleur Canyon qualified instructor will advise you throughout the descent to help you overcome the various obstacles. To enjoy the exceptional setting, a mid-course picnic break will also allow you to regain your strength. Because you will need strength! Due to its length and the sustained effort required over a day, the Riolan Canyon is for people in very good physical condition, at ease in the water.
Tour programme
- Preparation:
We meet in the parking lot at the Riolan bridge where your instructor will be waiting for you with all the equipment. After getting to know each other, you will take the cars back to the start of the canyon: a 15-minute walk will be necessary to reach the start of the canyon. Once on site and all geared up, safety instructions will be given before the start.
- Tour:
The descent is in two parts, with a picnic break in between to allow you to better admire the unique setting where you find yourself. The beginning of the tour offers a very varied series of obstacles: jumps, slides, abseiling descents, some of which are under waterfalls. After the picnic break, you will enter the steepest part of the canyon, with new jumps (up to 8 m, optional) and swimming in passageways.
- Arrival:
Once you have reached the end of the canyon, you will need a 5-minute walk to go back to your vehicle.
