What to Expect

Learning, progressing and having fun: this is what awaits young skiers during our kids ski lessons in Val Thorens.

Our kids ski lessons are designed for skiers from 5 to 12 years old of all levels: they are placed from the beginning of the week in a group of adapted level of 12 participants maximum which allows them to learn in good conditions. From those who are just discovering skiing to experienced skiers, everyone can learn at their own pace and progress quickly.

The children are supervised by state-qualified instructors who pass on to them both their knowledge and their passion. Through playful activities, children master elementary and advanced techniques and learn about their environment to ski in complete safety, whatever the slope they tackle. For everyone, Friday is a festive day with the medal ceremony.

Levels

First Timer

- Ourson: I have never skied before or only in the Kinderland (snow garden).

Beginner

- Flocon: I can do snowplough turns and control my speed on easy green slopes.

- First Star: I can do snowplough turns and control my speed on easy blue slopes.

Intermediate

- Second Star: I start to bring my skis parallel on blue slopes. First introduction to red slopes.

- Third Star: I start to master parallel turns on blue and red slopes.

Advanced

- Bronze Star: I feel confident on red slopes. I am starting with parallel short turns. First introduction to carving turns and black slopes.

- Gold Star: I start to master every slope.

Meeting Time

We meet 5 minutes before the start of the ski lessons.

Lunch Care

Your children can be cared for by the school during lunch (meals and lunch care).

Ski Pass

All skiers need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.
