Kids Ski Lessons (5-12 y.) for All Levels - Val Thorens

What to expect

Learning, progressing and having fun: this is what awaits young skiers during our kids ski lessons in Val Thorens.

Our kids ski lessons are designed for skiers from 5 to 12 years old of all levels: they are placed from the beginning of the week in a group of adapted level of 12 participants maximum which allows them to learn in good conditions. From those who are just discovering skiing to experienced skiers, everyone can learn at their own pace and progress quickly.

The children are supervised by state-qualified instructors who pass on to them both their knowledge and their passion. Through playful activities, children master elementary and advanced techniques and learn about their environment to ski in complete safety, whatever the slope they tackle.

Race and rewards

• A medal ceremony takes place on Friday.

Level split

• Ourson: I have never skied or I have had my first lesson.

• Flocon: I am able to turn using the snowplough technique.

• First Star: I know how to ski down a green slope on my own. I know how to get up on my own. I use the skating step.

• Second Star: I can ski down blue slopes using the snowplough technique.

• Third Star: I can ski down blue slopes using the snowplough technique. I can do small skidding turns.

• Bronze Star: I ski down blue slopes with parallel skis.

• Silver Star: I ski down blue and sometimes red slopes with parallel skis.

• Gold Star: I ski down red slopes with parallel skis.

Check-in

• You need to come to the ski school before the first lesson to pick up the course card. You can pick it up at one of our offices (Place Caron in the centre of the resort or at the Montana kindergarten).

Meeting time

• On the first day, we meet 5 minutes before the start of the lesson.

• For the rest of the week, we meet 5 minutes before the start of the lesson.

Lunchtime care

• Our instructors take care of the children during the lunch break.

Meal

• It is possible to book the meal alongside the lessons.

Equipment

• You need to bring your own equipment.

Ski pass

• All participants need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. It's not included in the price.
