What do La Roque-Gageac, one of the most beautiful villages in France, Marqueyssac and its gardens and the impressive castle of Beynac have in common? You will be able to discover them during one day thanks to this 16-km canoe tour along the Dordogne river. At your own pace, come and admire the most beautiful treasures of the Périgord as you paddle down the river for a memorable descent. The Dordogne being a very docile river, this canoe trip is perfectly adapted to families with young children.
Tour programme- Preparation:
We meet at our base in Domme at the booked time. There, you will be welcomed by our team who will brief you on the descent, safety instructions and equipment. Then you leave directly from our base for the descent.
- Tour:
Alone in your kayak or with up to 3 people in your canoe, let the adventure begin! You have all the time you need to complete and enjoy the 16-km descent, with its highlights along the way. You even have the option of stopping along the river for a swim, a walk or a picnic. Several possibilities of visits await you along the route, from the charming villages of La Roque-Gageac or Domme, the gardens of Marqueyssac and Fayrac to Beynac and its castle, the arrival point. Without breaks, the descent takes about 3hrs.
- Return:
From Beynac, our shuttle leaves every hour until 6 pm (last departure) to bring you back to our base in Domme.

Will I be in the same boat as my friends, and how do I book a kayak for two?
The provider offers single-person kayaks and canoes for up to 4 people (2 adults and 2 children). You can therefore share a canoe with your friends or family.
