Stand-up paddling is becoming more and more popular all over the world and our SUP Lessons at Lagoa de Albufeira in Sesimbra are your chance to start out right with this sport. The calm waters of Lagoa de Albufeira offer the perfect training area for beginners as well as experienced paddlers from 7 years onwards. In small groups between 3 and 8 participants of the same level, your professional instructor will help you to quickly grasp the basics and improve your paddling experience.

Meeting & Preparation We meet at our base right at Lagoa de Albufeira (free parking available). Here you get changed, store your things in a locker, meet your instructor and receive your equipment. We then head to the beach where we start the SUP lessons with a theoretical introduction.

Course Content Level 1: - Getting to know the equipment & safety rules - Assessing conditions in calm waters - Basic techniques: entry into the water, positioning, paddling technique, body posture Level 2: - Linear paddling and rapid direction change - Linear row sprint to get into the wave or have an efficient start - Racing techniques & wave paddling Level 3: - Wave priority rules and safety rules in the critical surf zone - Overtaking the critical suf zone to the outside - Selecting the wave & positioning - Various paddling techniques in the open sea and with downwind - Setting up a training plan - Analyzing burst zones and danger zones
