Use your time in l'Alpe d'Huez to try a new winter sport with our snowboarding lessons for beginners.
Our snowboarding lessons are for you if you have never been on a board before or if you have one or two weeks experience. Our groups of 8 snowboarders on average accommodate both children from 12 years old and adults. Together you will learn the basics, such as finding your balance and mastering turns, and gain confidence on the slopes, whilst improving your technique. Our state-certified instructors will use their pedagogy and patience to help you progress and gain confidence.
Lessons start at the same time and at the same place as the ski lessons, which allows you to take lessons with your family or friends, in separate groups, with ease. The later start in the morning also allows you to enjoy your holiday without stress and to avoid the early rush.
We meet 10 minutes before the start of the ski lessons.
All snowboarders need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons.
Challenging conditions that week but they did manage to get through it all and went out every day, building in some flexibility on timings to do less in the worst weather and more in the better mornings. Many thanks for getting my daughter through her very first boarding holiday.... and enjoy it!
Excellent lessons. Son of 13 learned a lot in 5 days.
Great sessions easy to find location. Good communication before lesson.
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
