Details
You will spend a day filled with emotion on this 11-km canoe trip in the Tarn Gorges. Paddle in the heart of one of the most beautiful natural sites in France, characterised by untouched nature. Alternating between rapids and calmer sections, this route will amuse both young and old, lovers of authentic landscapes and curious people looking for an original physical activity. Undoubtedly the most unavoidable section on the Tarn river!Tour programme- Preparation:
We meet directly at our base 15min before the booked time. A free car park is waiting for you on the spot. Our team will welcome you and then provide you with the equipment and safety instructions to carry out the activity without risk. You will then take our shuttle bus which will take you to the starting point on the Vignes pond.
- Tour:
Start by going up the current on foot to go and admire the famous Pas de Soucy, which offers a unique view of the river, where the rock has collapsed, rendering the Tarn river underground. Once in your canoe, the route starts with a fun waterslide. Then the paddle begins. Calm sections and rapids alternate, with notably the La Sablière rapid, where a photographer is waiting for you to capture your descent. You will pass along picturesque troglodytic villages nested in the Causses' cliffs. It is also possible for you to stop along the way on one of the natural beaches for a swim or a picnic.
- Return:
After about 2.5hrs of paddling (without counting breaks), you will successively pass two bridges, including the so-called "Pont cassé" (Broken Bridge) with its unique arch, which will take you back to our base where you will find your vehicle.Tour facts
