24km Kayak & Canoe on the Tarn - The Heart of the Gorges

We invite you to discover the Tarn Gorges and its fabulous surroundings on this dynamic 24-km canoe or kayak trip. During this memorable outing, you will be able to marvel at ancient castles perched on top of steep cliffs and charming little villages lined up along the river banks. Don't hesitate to take breaks and to take a refreshing dip in the Tarn river. You will be confronted with some more tumultuous rapids but also with some narrower sections of the river. As such, this route is recommended for sporty people who are eager to discover some beautiful landscapes.

Tour programme
Preparation
We meet at our base in Sainte-Énimie, 10 minutes before the start of the trip, from where you will leave directly by canoe. You're welcome to park your car on our free car park. Our team will welcome you and provide you with the necessary equipment before giving you some important safety instructions.
Tour
This sporty tour allows you to take full advantage of the exceptional landscapes of the Tarn Gorges. On your trip, you will admire the village of Saint-Chély-du-Tarn and its waterfall, as well as the medieval castle of La Caze. Further along, you will also pass under the bridge in the village of La Malène, before discovering the typical Lozerian hamlet of La Croze. At the end of the journey, you will be amazed by the Cirque of Baumes created by the erosion and the wind, where different species of birds are known to nest.
Return
You arrive at your destination when you see the vertiginous cliffs of Baumes. Here, the shuttle will be waiting for you to take you back to our base where you can get back into your own car.
