Discover what happens under the surface of the Mediterranean Sea and learn to scuba dive in Sainte-Maxime! Accessible to all, the PADI Open Water Diver course will teach you how to use the diving equipment as well as how to evolve in duo in the water, to a maximum depth of 18 m, with our certified instructors. Thanks to theoretical lessons and 6 open water dives, you will learn you how to behave and react to common underwater situations.
Enjoy the aquatic landscapes and meet all kinds of fish species: starfish and sea urchins will also be part of the experience. Join us and take your first steps into the word of scuba diving!
The PADI Open Water qualifies you to:

Programme- On-site theory lecture:
Study materials are offered: learn all about the theory of scuba diving in a classroom at the dive club with one of our instructors.
- Kick-off:
For the practical course, the meeting point is at the diving club, where you will be provided with the necessary equipment. Then, take the boat to the dive site and watch the Mediterranean coastline recede before your eyes. Finally, after a short briefing on the use of the equipment and an explanation of the activity, dive into the water and let your instructor guide you!

I did my first dive in Croatia in July - instantly hooked, I was keen to get my PADI Open Water qualification as soon as possible and closer to home.
Choosing H2O Sainte-Maxime, I wasn't sure what to expect but, honestly, this experience - the diving, the team and the environment - has perhaps left me with some of the happiest memories I've made in a long time!
Though initially apprehensive, I grew to become a confident diver over numerous dives with the help of Nadine, who never failed to smile, laugh or even giggle underwater.
The training and education imparted to me, both underwater and at the surface, was invaluable, and that it was delivered in such a fun, relaxed and calm environment - facilitated by Nadine, Arnaud and Laurent, has left me keen to progress to the next level.

Can I take part if I can't swim, and are life jackets/floating devices provided (including for kids)?
No, participation in this course is not possible if you cannot swim. The ability to swim is a requirement.
What marine life might I see on this activity?
During your dives, you can expect to see various kinds of fish, as well as starfish and sea urchins.
What are the requirements to participate?
The minimum age for this course is 15 years. You need to be in good physical health, able to swim, and provide a medical certificate from the last year stating you are fit for diving. If you wear glasses, you must be able to use contact lenses.
