Experience a boat trip with us, departing from the port of Souda, and enjoy a relaxing journey through the crystal-clear waters of Souda Bay, accompanied by pleasant music and panoramic views.
As we glide through the bay, we pass by Souda Island, standing like a guardian at the entrance of the port, as well as the nearby small islet of Leon. On Souda Island, you will also see the historic Fortezza, a Venetian fortress built in 1571, which protected Chania and Souda Port for centuries.
We continue sailing toward the northwestern side of Souda Bay, where the rugged cliffs of the Akrotiri peninsula reveal hidden natural landscapes. Our first stop is Marathi Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the region. With its golden sand, calm shallow waters, and natural protection from the winds, it is the perfect place for families, couples, and those looking to relax. Here, we will stop for approximately 2 hours for swimming and free time by the sea.
After our stop in Marathi, the boat anchors near a selected beach, where you will have an additional 2-hour swimming stop to enjoy the crystal-clear waters and relax in a more secluded setting.
On our return journey, we continue sailing across Souda Bay, enjoying views of the surrounding coastline. Above the bay, you can also admire the ancient city of Aptera, one of the most important city-states of ancient Crete. Shortly after, on Kalami Hill, the historic Izzeddin Fortress appears, a cultural heritage monument and silent witness to the region’s rich history. Finally, we return to the Port of Souda, concluding our excursion.
