Embark on our eco-friendly boat with our boat trip in the Calanques of Marseille! Departing from the Quai d'Honneur, we will take you directly to the middle of the Calanques National Park. During the whole cruise, our captain will share with you all his knowledge about the iconic places of Marseille and the history of the city! We will also explain why it is necessary to preserve this fragile natural heritage.
Once we reached the small passage between Maïre Island and the Croisette Cap, we will be in the Calanques National Park. The word "calanques" describes a valley carved by a river before reaching the sea. This phenomenon makes the coastline unique. We will make a first stop for a swim, during which you will be able to enjoy the crystal clear water of the Mediterranean Sea. We will have a 1.5-hour break to have an apéritif and lunch in the exceptional and wild setting of the calanques. Afterwards, the captain adapts the order and duration of the stops to the weather conditions.
We will head for the Riou Archipelago, notably known for its biodiversity, with more than 200 species of birds. Then, we will visit in turn the calanques of Sormiou, Morigou and Sugiton. You will also have the opportunity to swim or snorkel for about half an hour in one of the calanques of your choice. On the way back to the Quai d'Honneur, you will again have the opportunity to admire a unique view of the coastline and its magnificent rock formations.
Boat trip will worth the money even if we only swam for 15-20 minutes. Great captain though.
I had the best day of my stay in Marseille on a boat, the captain is very friendly and caring, it's certain that if I come back to Marseille I will do the trip again with Eco Calanques
