PADI Discover Scuba Diving in Portocolom

By signing up for PADI Discover Scuba Diving in Portocolom, you have the opportunity to try out scuba diving and get a glimpse of Mallorca's fascinating underwater world at the same time. Starting in our own training pool, you will practice the basics of diving and learn how to use the equipment until you feel absolutely safe. The highlight of the day is your very first dive in the sea which takes place under one-on-one supervision by your experienced instructor. You will be mesmerised by the magical world below the surface of the Mediterranean and experience a feeling of absolute weightlessness as you dive to a depth of up to 6 metres. *The activity can only take place under favorable weather conditions.

Dive Area For the introductory dive, we choose from one of our many dive sites that are a maximum of 10 minutes by boat from our dive centre. These are calm, sheltered bays that are particularly suitable for beginners. In the unique underwater landscape you will be able to observe remarkable rock formations, which are home to a diverse fauna with small fish, crabs, snails, octopuses and with a bit of luck even rays.

Programme We meet at our dive centre in Portocolom, where you will get to know your instructor. If you arrive by car, parking is widely available nearby. After a theoretical introduction, you will learn to put on the diving equipment and do your first exercises in our training pool. Once you feel confident breathing underwater, we will take our boat to a quiet bay to do a dive in the sea accompanied by your experienced instructor. Afterwards, we return to the dive centre where you can take a warm shower and reflect on the eventful day in our restaurant.
