Take the first step towards becoming a certified diver with this PADI Open Water Diver course in Portocolom. With our very own training pool and a large selection of diverse dive sites in the immediate vicinity, we provide you with the best conditions for your scuba diving education. Under the guidance of our certified instructors, you will acquire the fundamental skills and knowledge to go diving on your own. At the same time, you will also get the opportunity to explore the fascinating underwater world of Mallorca.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is suitable for all beginners who want to start scuba diving and requires no previous experience. With the practical e-learning that you complete at home, you can make the most of your time in Mallorca and jump straight into the practical part of the course. Thanks to our small group size of a maximum of 4 students per instructor, we can guarantee optimal support for each individual.
The PADI Open Water Diver certification qualifies you to:
- Dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet
- Plan and execute dives with a certified buddy

Programme- eLearning:
After your booking, we will contact you to give you your access details to the PADI e-learning platform. You can then complete the theory part of the course before your holiday so that you can start the practical part of the course on site.
- Kick-off:
We meet at our dive centre in Portocolom, where you will get to know your instructor. If you arrive by car, parking is widely available nearby. We will check that you have completed the e-learning programme and have you fill out the PADI medical form. We will then schedule your diving sessions based in accordance with your wishes. You can either opt for a more intense programme in a shorter period of time or a more relaxed programme spread out over more days. Typically, you will then receive your rental equipment and proceed straight to doing your first practical session in the pool.

My first diving experience: jumped right in with the Open Water Diver Course. Had a very good time at East Coast Divers Mallorca. Very warm and down to earth learning center! The eLearing is longer than expected but worth the effort. Had a very good trainer and diving buddy in Nicole who was very patient, positive, fun and kind teacher!
