Details

Join this full day cruise to Symi Island and discover the secrets of what is known as one of the most charming islands in the Aegean Sea. Leaving Mandraki Port in Rhodes, we head in a northwestern direction for about 1.5 hours until we reach Symi Island. Along the way, you can sit back and relax on one of the three decks (inside, covered & sun-deck) of our ferry boat Nikolaos X while you admire the coastline of Asia Minor and the Dodecanese Islands.

Our first stop will be at the Panormitis Monastery, located in a peaceful bay in the south of Symi Island. Here, you will have 1 hour of free time to visit the monastery with its bell tower built in a mix of baroque and renaissance styles. If you are interested, there are also two museums where you can learn more about the island's folk culture and art. Afterward, we will navigate along the island's rocky eastern coast. Moreover, if you join us on a Saturday, you also have the chance to go for a swim at the gorgeous Nymporio Bay.

Around 12:45 pm we reach the Gialos, Port of Symi Town, where you can spend 3.5 hours exploring the idyllic surroundings with its many colourful neo-classical mansions, traditional fishing boats, local restaurants and little shops selling folk art and sea sponges, which are typical for the island. Equipped with a map, you can spend your time according to your wishes: Take a stroll through the port, swim and relax at Nos Beach, walk up the 300 steps to upper Symi and enjoy a traditional lunch in one of the authentic taverns right by the sea. After soaking up the atmosphere of this special place, you board the boat and lean back as we start our return journey to Rhodes.

It is well organized and the staff that comes to pick you up and shows you the way is just great. They keep their appointments and have nice buses and friendly drivers. We had a small problem with opening a file via email but after reporting it it was solved well and quickly. For everyone a real recommendation to go on a trip with this organization. Absolutely great.
