Details
A relaxing time in a green setting awaits you with this canoe and kayak tour on the Argens river. It will give you the opportunity to explore the French Riviera from a whole new angle, far from the crowded beaches! Starting from Roquebrune-sur-Argens, you will paddle in the middle of a preserved nature, labelled Natura 2000. The tour is accessible even for families with young children, who will have fun observing the different inhabitants of this haven of peace. While you paddle, you can admire natural curiosities such as the Roquebrune rock, characterized by its red colour, or the Noirel lake, where you can enjoy a refreshing break. You can choose between 2h, 2h30 and 4 hrs to complete the tour but, to have time to enjoy it to the fullest, we recommend you the half-day trip.
Tour programme- Preparation:
We meet you at our base in Roquebrune-sur-Argens at the booked time; there is free parking available on site. Our team will welcome you and provide you with everything you need to enjoy the tour: a map of the route as well as your equipment (a waterproof canister is provided per canoe). Then you will leave directly from our base.
- Tour:
You will start by paddling upstream for 3 km to reach Lake Noirel. On the way, you can admire the view of the Roquebrune-sur-Argens rock, particularly highlighted by the morning light. You may also be lucky enough to spot the various species that live near the river, such as herons, kingfishers, bee-eaters and even some turtles basking in the sun! Once you arrive at the lake, you can take a break to swim, picnic or just relax. The more sporty of you can even go further than Lake Noirel and be rewarded with less frequented pebble beaches. Then you will paddle back to the base.
- Return:
Once back at the base, our facilities (shower, dry toilets, picnic tables, snack) are available if you wish to extend your stay with us.
