Tour programme- Preparation:
We meet at the Raſting Center Taxenbach (Sportpension Sonnhof), where we welcome you and fit you with the appropriate wetsuits, which you put on in our changing rooms. If you arrive by car, free parking is available directly at the base or in the whole town. This is followed by a short transfer to the starting point, which is located just a few hundred metres from the base. After an introduction and a safety briefing, you will take your seat in the boat together with your guide and the adventure can begin.
- Tour:
The 2-hour rafting tour takes you through a beautiful natural landscape from Taxenbach to Schwarzach. On the first section, there is a bit of time to practice paddling. Then comes the challenging part: You paddle according to the instructions of your experienced guide and master the river's splashing rapids as a team.
- Return:
At the end of the tour, a shuttle is already waiting to take you back to the base. Here you can dry off and enjoy a hearty snack in our garden. You will also receive a certificate as a souvenir and have the opportunity to buy the photos of your tour.

The location (base camp) was unfortunately a bit run-down. We arrived on time, had to wait – like everyone else – and then suddenly there was a lot of commotion. Some of the shoes and wetsuits were quite worn, the size adjustment on almost none of the helmets worked, and ear pads were missing. My daughters were given suits that were much too big and consequently got quite cold during the tour.
The tour itself is okay; the guides are really dedicated and enthusiastic. However, everything is only in English. Unfortunately, the water level was low in August, so it wasn't very action-packed. Apparently, the waves are three times as high when the water level is high, and then it's certainly a lot of fun.
All the photos could be purchased digitally afterward at a very fair price.
