Spend an afternoon in the water with our pirate boat trip to Kefalas Bay in Crete with snorkeling. Departing from the Marine Port of Rethymno, we will first sail past La Fortezza, which is a historic fortress build by the Venetians in the 16th century. Then, we will continue to the east and pass by the bay of Gerani to finally reach our final destination: Kefalas Bay. On our way, we will also enjoy a traditional Greek salad, accompanied by wine or soft drinks.
We will stop in the Kefalas bay for about an hour, so you can enjoy a swim in the crystal clear water. You can also use our snorkeling equipment available on board to admire the typical underwater species of the sea of Crete. On our way back, we will pass by the caves of Kefalas, and we will also enjoy a unique view of the old Venetian port of Rethymno.

The tour itself was lovely, and there was plenty of time for swimming in the sea. Anyone looking for a relaxing swim stop will find it perfect.
However, I was somewhat disappointed with the organization. The tour description advertises it in German, but during the trip, there were no explanations whatsoever – neither about the bay nor any other interesting information about Greece. Essentially, it was just the boat trip to the bay followed by about an hour of swimming.
Communication was also lacking during meals. We only found out there was a salad because we saw other guests helping themselves. A brief announcement or information from the crew would have been appreciated.

A fantastic boat trip! We were lucky enough to see dolphins, but even without that, it was a fantastic experience. The view is stunning, the atmosphere on deck is convivial, the food is delicious, and the aperitifs are very affordable. If you'd like, you can take the helm for a bit. The snorkeling spot is incredibly calm, and in the clear blue water, you literally swim among the fish. We were with our adult friends, but this trip is truly worthwhile for all ages.
