With our snorkeling tour in the Paraggi Bay you will have the chance to see the amazing diversity of animals and plants that inhabit the waters of the Portofino Marine Protected Area. Our local guides specialized in marine biology will lead you to the best places to observe the great biodiversity of this area, and after the activity you can choose to enjoy a drink on our terrace overlooking the sea.
Snorkeling site
The bay is part of the Natural Marine Protected Area of Portofino and is forbidden to navigation, which makes it particularly safe for swimmers. The area is famous for its posidonia meadows that together with the rocky seabed are home to a wide variety of fish, octopuses, starfish, nudibranchs, sponges, and molluscs.
Programme
We will meet at our base on Niasca beach 15 minutes before the start of the activity. Please reach us by using public transport. You can leave your belongings in our lockers, but we advise you not to bring any valuable items. In groups of up to 16 people, you will be given some information regarding your safety, and our guide will also show you some of the species we can observe during the activity. We will then dive into the sea, and head to the best places to observe the incredible diversity of this area. After about 30-40 minutes, we will swim back to Niasca beach, where you can choose to enjoy an apéritif with focaccia and local organic wine on our sea view terrace. You can also have a hot shower, but only using an eco-friendly soap.
