The golden hour is the best moment of the day to discover one of Salento's most picturesque spots. With our sunset boat trip to the caves of Santa Maria di Leuca, you will visit all the caves of this rugged coast and have a drink as the sun slowly disappears into the sea.
We will depart from Santa Maria di Leuca and head towards Punta Meliso, where the Ionian and Adriatic seas divide. Navigating eastwards, we will see the beautiful Grotta Della Vora, which owes its name to the chasm at the top that illuminates the cave, and the Mannute Caves, a complex of caves 20-30 metres above sea level. We will then stop for a dip at the Grotta del Soffio: after putting on our snorkeling equipment, we will swim together all the way into the cave!
Afterwards, our captain will bring you to the Ionian side to admire the beautiful Grotta delle Tre Porte, characterized by three large semicircular arches. Our last stop will be the nearby Grotta degli Innamorati and Grotta del Drago, where you can snorkel accompanied by our local guide. After cooling off in the sea, we will have a small aperitif on board at sunset, and then return to Santa Maria di Leuca.
We had the most wonderful time with our guide, Biaggio. It was quite apparent that he treasures this beautiful part of the country. The historical information he shared with us as well as the stories about his family and growing up in the area made the trip outstanding. The sunset was perfect and the appetizers were delicious (his mother's recipe and he even shared fresh tuna that he actually caught himself in these very waters!) We were able to swim and explored one of the caves. He took great care of my husband's arm after swimming into a jellyfish. I highly recommend this tour with Biaggio. We had a fantastic time. Thank you!
A fantastic experience, the boy explained all the caves to us in a very precise and detailed way. I highly recommend it both as an experience to visit and as a gift for a special person.

Highly recommended trip with a good captain, Biagio. We received good explanations in English and were able to see many caves. The swim stops were nice too! And how special to be able to watch the sunset on the sea
