There is no better way to discover the rich flora and fauna of Ria Formosa than on this relaxing boat trip. Our solar boats will be the perfect vessel to go through the green marshes and turquoise-blue waters of the river, as they provide a smooth and quiet ride. In addition, our resident biologists will accompany you along the way telling you all there is to know about all the fascinating wildlife around us!
We commence our trip at the Marina of Faro and head deep into the mashes. As we cruise along the lagoon, our guide will take us to the perfect places to spot birds such as white storks, little egrets, and spoonbills. On our way to all the islands of the Nature Park, we might be able to approach shellfish farms and oyster beds. Here our guide will tell us more about the importance of these activities for the local economy while you get to see it first-hand.
Finally, provided the weather conditions allow it, we will stop for around 10-20 minutes on one of the islands. We will then head back to the Marina of Faro, so make sure to get comfortable and sit back while you enjoy a panoramic view of the River.

Highly recommend this trip. Especially if you are looking for something very laid back and relaxing. The afternoon tour may be the best as it ends with the sunset over the waters in January. The amount of wildlife depends of course on the wildlife. Our guide André was very knowledgeable about the birds as well as the Faro area and culture. Very well spoken, engaging, and polite. Could not have asked for better.
