What to Expect

Young skiers, welcome! Our kids' ski lessons in Saalbach are aimed at children aged between 4 and a half and 14, whatever their level. In a friendly atmosphere, they will learn to ski or improve their skills under the watchful eye of our experienced instructors, in groups of maximum 12 kids.

Little skiers who have never skied before start in our BOBO Kinderland, a safe area with lots of colourful games to help them take their first steps on the snow and learn the basics. It won't be long before they're sliding down the slopes for the first time! Experienced children go straight to the top of the Schattberg X-press lift and take advantage of the large number of slopes in the area - more than 270 km - with varying degrees of difficulty. While having fun, they will quickly master new advanced skills and refine their technique.

Our courses take place throughout the day, with an optional lunch break in a hut to recharge the batteries. The week ends on Friday with the famous race, in which all the children participate: it's a chance for everyone to show off their progress and test themselves one last time against their classmates.

Meeting Time

We meet at our assembly place between the Schattberg X-press and the hotel Unterwirt, by the ski school banner, 15 minutes before the start of the lesson. Please come to our ski school office (Schulstrasse 560) the day before your course or well in advance on the first day to collect your course card.

Lunch Care

During the lunch break from 12 to 1 pm, we have lunch together in a hut. If you would like your child to join the lunch, please give €15 (per day) to the instructor in the morning (in cash). Alternatively, you can collect your child directly from the hut: the instructor will tell you which one when you drop your child off in the morning (please note that the hut changes every day).

Equipment Rental

If you want to book with equipment, you can conveniently pick it up at our shop Skifürst Rent a Ski (Unterdorf 810) near our meeting point from 2 pm the day before, or from 8 am on the day of the course. Just select your preferred equipment at the check-out when booking.

Ski Pass

First-timers do not need a ski pass for the first day of the lessons. The instructor will advise you when to buy the ski pass.

All other skiers need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy it at the ski lift ticket office.

Good to Know

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• It is possible to switch between different skill levels during the course if a participant's abilities improve quickly
