If you're short on time, but want to try what it's like to dive in Menorca, this PADI Sea Baptism in Port d'Addaia is ideal for you! No previous diving experience is necessary to participate in this experience, where you can discover all the fauna and flora hidden in the underwater world of the Mediterranean Sea and have your first experience with scuba diving. This programme is specially designed for beginners from 10 years old. Our certified PADI instructors will introduce you to the basics of scuba diving and guarantee your safety during the whole activity. Dive area
The Port of Addaia is known for its crystal-clear waters and an incredible variety of marine life, which makes it an ideal place for dive. During the excursion, you will have the opportunity to see a wide diversity of fish, such as groupers, salps, barracudas and moray eels, among others. There will also be octopus, lobsters and cicadas. In addition, your guide will optimise the trip so that you can encounter as many species as possible.
Programme
We will meet you directly at our office in the Port of Addaia. If you come by car, there is free park car nearby.
Once at the dive centre, you will pick up your equipment and change your clothes. Depending on the weather conditions, we will most likely take a boat to one of the nearby dive sites. If the conditions do not allow it, we will dive some of the dive sites close to our center, without the need to take a boat.
After a short briefing and an explanation of how to use the diving equipment, it's time to get in the water! You will do a first dive of up to 6 metres in shallow water, to understand the basics. Once you feel comfortable, we'll go a little deeper and dive to 12 metres. For this programme, each instructor will be in charge of up to 4 other people. The length of the dive is up to you, usually between 30 and 60 minutes.
While the other students are diving, you can swim or snorkel in the surrounding area to further explore the underwater world. At the end of the activity, we will return to the dive centre, where you can shower or rest after your new experience.
