Boat Trip to Gramvousa and Balos with Transfer from Chania Area

Experience the mesmerizing Bay of Kissamos on an unforgettable boat trip to Gramvousa and Balos, unveiling the most captivating areas of Crete. Our adventure commences after we pick you up at the chosen meeting point. We will then drive to Kissamos' port, where we set sail for a delightful one-hour trip, passing by majestic cliffs and hidden beaches bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Prepare to be amazed by the crystalline turquoise waters and the beautiful Cretan landscapes. Along the way, we will also encounter a substantial cave believed to have served as an ancient shipyard, adding an intriguing historical dimension to our excursion.

Next, we will make our way to the islet of Agria Gramvousa and Cape Vouxa, where we will anchor for 1.5 hours. Known as the fabled "Island of Pirates," Gramvousa remains uninhabited and features rocky cliffs, azure waters, and a splendid natural environment. During our time here, feel free to embark on a hike to the island's highest peak, from where you can marvel at the renowned castle of Gramvousa, an impressive relic constructed by the Venetians back in 1579. Alternatively, take a relaxing dip next to Agioi Apostoloi Chapel, or explore the remains of an abandoned shipwreck resting along the coastline. For lunch, you can either enjoy our self-service restaurant or bring your own food, as there are no shops at our stops.

Our second stop will be at Balos Lagoon for 2.5 hours. This exotic beach-lagoon is listed as one of the best beaches in the world and included in the European initiative Natura 2000. Embrace the opportunity to swim or snorkel in the shallow, turquoise blue waters, or unwind on the pristine white sand beach, basking in the warm embrace of the sun while being encircled by impressive rocks and cliffs. As the day draws to a close, we will return to the port of Kissamos and bring you back to your meeting point.

How to get there
Our bus will pick you up at the chosen meeting point (Chania, Golden Beach, Agia Apostoli, Glaros, Daratso, Kalamaki, Stalos, Agia Marina, Platanias, Gerani, Maleme, Tavronitis, Kamisiana, Rapaniana, Kolymbari, Kissamos...).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you do not miss the bus. After booking, check the attached file for precise locations and departure times corresponding to your meeting point. Depending on the chosen location, pick-ups are available between 6:45 and 9:20, and the boat departs at 10:40. After the trip, we will return you to the meeting point.
