Private Ski Lessons for Kids (from 4 y.) of All Levels - Oberhof

You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.

You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.

Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.

Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.

Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.

The private ski lessons are for children from 4 years old.

For the 4-hour lessons, parents are requested to pick up their children at the meeting point at 12:30 for the lunch break and bring them back before 13:30.

Beginners will learn about the equipment, how to glide and brake in a snowplough, make snowplough turns, and use a ski lift.

Advanced skiers will focus on refining their skills, particularly parallel turns and improving their posture.

The meeting point is at the ski rental shop Skiverleih Talstation Snowpark Oberhof, 15 minutes before the lessons start.
