PADI Open Water Diver Course in Formentera

Join us in Formentera to embark on a journey of exploration beneath the waves with our PADI Open Water Scuba Diver course! Over the course of 4 or 5 exhilarating days, you will find yourself immersed in the stunning surroundings of Formentera's waters, particularly the beautiful Es Calo de Sant Agustí. Led by our experienced instructors, this immersive experience caters to adventurers aged 10 and up, you will learn essential diving techniques and underwater communication skills.

From your first breaths with a scuba tank to the excitement of your initial dives in the crystal-clear waters of Formentera, each moment promises unforgettable experiences. With small group sizes of no more than four students per instructor, you will receive personalized attention throughout the course. Plus, our team of dive masters will enrich your journey with fascinating insights into the diverse marine life of the Mediterranean, including the beautiful Es Caló de Sant Agustín, where you can expect encounters with tropical fish, octopuses, moray eels, and an array of other species, all within an environment boasting exceptional safety conditions for first time divers.

Goal of the course
During the Open Water Diver course, you will learn the basics of scuba diving combined with practice in confined water and open water dives. It's a great opportunity for everyone who wants to take the first steps in the diving world. After completing the course, you will be able to dive up to 18 meters deep, known equipment and safety rules underwater, and rent diving gear as well.

Meeting & Preparation
We meet at our dive centre, located in the Insotel Club Maryland 15 minutes before the booked time - Usually, we go to the beach in front of our dive centre or to Es Caló de Sant Agustín, this depends on the weather conditions. Once there, you will meet your instructor, discuss details of the course, receive equipment, and we will give you a brief explanation about safety.

Course content
- 5 on site theory lessons, with a duration of 45/60 minutes each
- 4 lessons in confined water, with a duration of 30 minutes each
- 4 open water dives
Note: The order and length of the individual parts of the course can change and will be individually adapted by the instructor. Normally, the number of days of the course is 4 but can be extended to 5 depending on your commitments.

Good to know
- There is a restaurant in our dive centre
- There is a paid parking place nearby
- Accompanying passenger on the boat (for a surcharge of 25€, to be paid on site) if they want to practice snorkeling while they wait, we provide snorkeling equipment as well
- If you wear prescription glasses, you need to be comfortable wearing contact lenses
- You should not fly within the next 24 hours after the dive
