What to Expect

Join us on this historic boat trip, from Thessaloniki to Mount Athos and the Acropolis of Ancient Stagira, Aristotle's birthplace. Accompanied by our official guide, the day starts by leaving behind the Thermaic Gulf, passing by the two lakes Koronia and Volvi, wetlands of international importance. We'll head east through a beautiful route of the Castle of Rentina, where the tragic poet Euripides left his final breath.

We arrive at the Strymonian Gulf and soon leave behind the touristic village of Stavros to enter Halkidiki’s region. Heading south, enjoy the wonderful route along the coasts of northeast Halkidiki and spot the small Kapros Island where Olympiada, the mother of Alexander the Great, was kept in jail. Our first point of archaeological interest is the Acropolis of Ancient Stagira, the birthplace of the worldwide known philosopher Aristoteles. From the seaport of Ouranoupolis, we continue our journey, heading towards the south of the Athos Peninsula.

From here, we navigate north, along the western coast. You will be able to see from a close distance, the mysterious and miraculous place which has been for centuries the center of Orthodoxy and learn new information about the history of Mount Athos and 8 of its monasteries. After our return to the port, you'll have free time for lunch or swimming in Ouranoupolis while enjoying the amazing view towards the Singitic Gulf, Athos, and Sithonia Peninsulas. After a day full of impressions, we return back to the meeting points. This offer is ideal for people interested in history and sightseeing. Join us on our spacious ship for a guided tour throughout the day.
