Sunset on the Grand Bief
A houseboat, fully equipped to meet all your needs
Enjoy a local aperitif and a dinner on board
Set off on a timeless escape aboard an authentic barge and discover the Canal du Midi as the sun sets, with an aperitif and dinner on board. Your evening will begin at the Port Neuf quay in Béziers, where you’ll be welcomed before boarding the boat via our private shuttle. Make yourself comfortable on board in our air-conditioned saloon and let yourself be carried along by the current. The cruise will begin with a passage through the famous Fonseranes locks, a remarkable part of the Canal du Midi’s heritage. We will then continue our journey towards the Grand Bief, where you can enjoy the view from the boat’s deck to admire the colours of the sky and the landscapes bathed in the light of the setting sun. To complement this special moment, an aperitif accompanied by a selection of canapés will be served on board. The cruise will continue towards Colombiers, before passing under the Rabote-Cornes bridge and then through the Malpas tunnel, an iconic feature of the Canal du Midi. As the evening progresses, you’ll also be able to savour a dinner featuring local flavours, prepared on board by our chef, whilst enjoying the peaceful setting and the special atmosphere of a sunset cruise. The cruise will end at the Fonseranes locks, just 200 metres from your original meeting point. An ideal experience to discover the Canal du Midi in a different light, enjoy a sunset whilst gliding along the water, and share a convivial moment over an aperitif and dinner on board.
