What to expect

Step aboard an authentic barge and set off to explore the Canal du Midi, departing from the Quai du Port Neuf in Béziers! Make yourself comfortable on board our boat, which features an air-conditioned interior, and enjoy a day of relaxation and discovery, whether with family, friends or as a couple. As we sail along, we’ll first discover the Orb canal bridge, a remarkable engineering feat situated near the Orb lock. We’ll then continue our journey with a view of the majestic Saint-Nazaire Cathedral, which towers over the town of Béziers. The cruise will take us to the famous Fonseranes locks, a true masterpiece of the Canal du Midi’s river heritage. We’ll take the time to admire this impressive set of locks and learn about how they work and their history. We’ll continue our journey along the peaceful Grand Bief before reaching the port of Colombiers. The route will then take us under the Rabote-Cornes bridge and through the Malpas tunnel, a remarkable structure carved into the Ensérune hill. On board, a lunch featuring local specialities will then be served, allowing you to fully enjoy a gourmet break in the heart of the Canal du Midi. After lunch, we’ll resume our leisurely cruise towards Béziers, taking in the scenery and the peaceful atmosphere of the canal one last time.
