Boat Trip to Fort Boyard from Saint-Nazaire with Stopover on Île d'Aix

Join us for a day spent in the heart of nature with our boat trip to Fort Boyard from Saint-Nazaire-sur-Charente with a stopover on Île d'Aix. You will embark at the Fontaine Royale de Lupin (royal fountain), a remarkable site that supplied fresh water to the royal ships when the Rochefort arsenal was in operation.

We then head up the Charente estuary towards the ocean. On the way, we'll pass close to Île Madame, a small islet only accessible on foot at low tide. Then we will head for the famous Fort Boyard. The boat will get very close as it goes around. The trip will be accompanied by commentaries to help you learn more about the history of this impressive fortress and the secrets behind its construction.

Then, after 45 minutes at sea, you will disembark on the small island of Aix, on which you will spend between 6 hours. Horse-drawn carriage or bicycle rides, a visit to Fort Liédot or the Napoleon Museum, not forgetting its beaches and restaurants: you will have plenty of activities to choose from to discover this haven of peace and quiet where no cars are allowed. Once back on the boat, it will take you just 30 minutes to reach Saint-Nazaire-sur-Charente.

We meet 30 minutes before departure at our pier at the Fontaine Royale de Lupin (royal fountain) in Saint-Nazaire-sur-Charente. If you are coming by car, a free car park is available nearby.
