What to Expect

Have you always wanted to learn to surf but don't know how? Then, our surf lessons on the Praia de Carcavelos or Praia do Guincho are exactly what you have been waiting for!

Before the beginning of our lessons, we meet directly on the beach, either at Praia do Guincho or Praia de Carcavelos. You will get to know your surf instructor and receive everything you need for surfing. You can store your personal belongings in our van. The lesson starts with a theoretical introduction to surfing, including correct warm-up exercises and an introduction to the safety rules. Then, it's time to try it out in the water! With a maximum group size of 15 people and only 5 people per instructor, personalised support is guaranteed. The total duration of each lesson is about 2 hours, with around 1 hour spent in the water.

Our surf lessons are ideal for beginners who want to learn the basics of surfing. Over the course of the lessons, you will learn how to balance on the board, how to ride your first waves, and how to move left and right with the surfboard. Each day will build on the previous one, ensuring you gain confidence and skill in the water.

How To Get There

• Meeting place: either at Praia de Carcavelos or Praia do Guincho, 5 minutes before the start of the surf lesson. Your surf instructor will inform you about the exact meeting point 48h in advance.

• Car parks nearby: at the meeting place (paid)

Start time

• The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions. Therefore, please plan to allocate some extra time on the day of your surf lesson. Your surf instructor will inform you of the start time 48h before the lesson (courses can start from 9 a.m.).
