What to Expect

Experience a personalised surfing experience at Praia do Guincho or Praia de Carcavelos and improve your skills in a surf course tailored to you! Both beaches are famous for their excellent surfing conditions and stunning scenery. Our private surf lessons are designed for those looking to refine their surfing techniques. The course starts with a warm welcome where you will get to know your surf instructor and receive everything you need for an exciting day on the waves. You can store your personal belongings in our van. In addition, we will talk about your goals and what you would like to improve on your surf skills, ensuring particularly personalised support that makes very good progress possible. The surf lesson lasts approximately 2 hours, with around 1 hour spent in the water.

During the course, you will learn essential surfing skills and knowledge about the ocean. Whether you want to ride bigger waves or learn more about the ocean, our experienced instructors will help you decide what you would like to work on during the lesson. The course is ideal for people who want to make the best possible progress and is also suitable for kids under 12 years old thanks to the particularly personalised supervision. Join us and experience the thrill of surfing in one of the most beautiful coastal areas!

How To Get There

• Meeting place: either at Praia de Carcavelos or Praia do Guincho, 5 minutes before the start of the surf lesson. Your surf instructor will inform you about the exact meeting point 48h in advance.

• Car parks nearby: at the meeting place (paid)

Start time

• The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions. Therefore, please plan to allocate some extra time on the day of your surf lesson. Your surf instructor will inform you of the start time 48h before the lesson (courses can start from 9 a.m.). However, you are welcome to request a specific start time. In this case, please contact us after completing the booking.

• Theory session on the beach

• After 1 day: Surfing beginners at our school are typically able to stand and balance on the surfboard and ride first waves
