What to Expect

Experience the excitement of surfing and join us for surf lessons near Porto! Our surf lessons take place on different beaches around Porto, ensuring we find the perfect waves for your lesson. The beaches we typically surf on are Azurara, Aguçadoura, Estela, and Ofir. Our experienced instructors will make sure that the lesson is tailored to your level, whether you are a complete beginner or have already some surfing experience.

For children, we keep the groups small, with only 4 children per instructor. Adult groups can be a bit larger but are limited to a maximum of 8 adults per instructor. This setup ensures personalized attention and a supportive learning environment for everyone.

This offer is ideal for people who want to try surfing for the first time or who already have some experience and want to refine their technique in a fun and supportive environment. Our surf school provides all the necessary equipment, including surfboards and wetsuits. After a brief introduction on safety and basics, you will spend the rest of the session in the water, putting theory into practice. Come and discover the joy of surfing on some of Portugal's most beautiful beaches!

How To Get There

• Meeting place: Póvoa de Varzim metro station. It is also possible to come to the beach directly by car.

• Pick up: if you wish to make use of our pickup service, please contact us after completing the booking. Pick up is available in the area of Póvoa de Varzim

• Transfer: we will transport you from the meeting place to the beach

Start time

• The start time depends on the tides to ensure the best conditions, so please plan some extra time on the day of your surf lessons. The exact start times are available 1 days in advance. We will inform you in time after you have completed the booking.

Course content

• Theory session on the beach

• The right warm-up

• Practice on the beach

• Practice in the sea: 2 hours

Surfing beginners at our school are typically able to:

- After 1 day: standing up on the surfboard

- After 3 days: gaining control of the surfboard

- After 5 days: starting to take green waves

Please note that everyone's learning progress is different, as some people learn quicker than others.
