Explore the stunning coastline of Bodø during our boat trip to Kjerringøy. Our adventure begins as we cruise along the coastline around Bodø, offering breathtaking views of the rugged landscape. On the way, we can admire the scenic narrow beach of Hovsundet and the stunning mountain on Landegode. The island, spanning 30.3 square kilometres, is known for its beautiful rock formations. During the spring, the island is home to birds nesting and sheep roaming the green hills. If we are lucky, we may also see some Sea Eagles sitting on the island.
Upon our arrival at Kjerringøy, we step on land and take a quick walk through a lush bit of forest to the breathtaking Kjerringøy Handelssted. Here, you will have around 1.5 - 2 hour to explore the 19th-century trading post, which features several well-preserved buildings, including beautiful old wooden boats. Roam around the open-air museum and imagine what life was like here 200 years ago. This historical site provides a fascinating glimpse into the past, making it a memorable stop on our tour.
