What to Expect

Embark on an unforgettable 3-day journey from Marrakech to Fes, where you will traverse with a Jeep the stunning landscapes of Morocco, from the majestic High Atlas Mountains to the historic cityscapes of Fes. Begin your adventure with a morning departure from your hotel. As you leave the bustling city behind, take in the breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains. Navigate the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, pausing to soak in the mountain vistas at an altitude of 2,260 meters. Descend into the semi-arid terrain to discover the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou and visit Ouarzazate, known for its film studios and historic Taourirt Kasbah. Continue your journey through the charming Dades Valley, celebrated for its palm groves and the Rose Festival in Kelaat Mgouna, reaching Boumalne Dades for an overnight stay in a traditional Kasbah hotel.

On the second day, depart from Boumalne Dades and first visit the town of Tinghir, followed by a trip to the stunning Todra Gorges. As you venture through increasingly arid landscapes, stop in Erfoud to visit a fossil museum and enjoy lunch. Explore the historic town of Rissani with a local guide before arriving in Merzouga. Here, you will embark on a camel trek across the sand dunes to a Berber camp in the Sahara Desert, where you will enjoy a traditional desert dinner and spend the evening under the stars. On the final day, optionally rise early to witness the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, trek back to Merzouga on camelback. Refresh in Merzouga before driving to Fes, making stops in Azrou to explore its cedar forests and in Ifrane, known as the 'Switzerland of Morocco' for its alpine climate and beautiful parks. Visit Imouzer, famous for its Apple Festival, and enjoy a brief ride along Dayet Aoua’s lakeshore before arriving in Fes in the late afternoon or evening, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
