What to Expect

Give your child an exciting skiing experience with our lessons for kids from 6 years in Candanchú, a top destination in the heart of the Pyrenees. With an impressive 100 km of slopes, the resort offers ideal terrain for skiers of all abilities. Whether your child is a beginner or more advanced, they will find well-maintained slopes to match their level. The small group sizes of maximum 8 people per group ensure each child receives personalized attention, allowing them to progress at their own pace.

The lesson starts with a warm-up and a detailed introduction by our experienced instructors. For first-time skiers, your child will learn the essential skills of skiing, including getting comfortable with the equipment and mastering basic techniques like wedge turns. These foundational skills are key to building confidence on the slopes. As they become more confident, they will move on to practicing parallel skiing on gentle green and blue runs.

For intermediate and advanced skiers, the lessons focus on refining technique on steeper slopes, including Candanchú's famous red runs. Your child will work on perfecting long and short turns, improving control, and tackling more challenging terrain with tailored feedback from our skilled instructors. These lessons offer a fantastic opportunity for kids to advance their skiing skills while enjoying the stunning mountain scenery.

Meeting Time

We meet on the terrace of the large slope café, at the foot of the slopes, 10 minutes before the start of the lesson. You will be able to recognize our ski instructors by their marine-blue jacket, with "Skicenter" written on the back.

Ski Pass

All skiers need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.

Please be aware that you need a ski pass to take your kid to the meeting point.

If you book your ski pass with Skicenter, we offer two convenient options: Delivery to your accommodation: we’ll bring your passes the afternoon before, so they’re ready for use. Collection from our office: your passes will be prepared in advance, so there’s no need to queue or purchase any additional support — they’ll be ready to use right away.

Good to Know

• For the Christmas holidays & school holidays in February, we recommend you book early in advance due to high demand

• Please note that the course only takes place with a minimum of 3 participants

• If the course does not reach the minimum quota, the lesson will be shortened

• Ski equipment is not included in the price of the lesson

• Please make sure your kid has skis, ski boots, helmet, gloves & sunglasses or goggles at the start of the lesson

• In case bad weather prevents the activity from taking place, you will receive a full refund or be able to reschedule the activity
