Embrace the rugged beauty of Iceland with our unforgettable hiking tour to volcanic eruption sites on the peninsula of Reyjkanes, including sites near Fagradalsfjall Volcano, Litli Hrutur and Sundhnukagigar Volcano! Your adventure begins as we whisk you away to the mesmerising Lake Kleifarvatn, the largest lake in the volcanic Reykjanes Peninsula. Surrounded by striking palagonite and sandstone mountains, the lake's black basalt beaches promise a visual feast. Depending on our route, we might make a stop here or head directly to the enchanting Seltún geothermal area. Wander along wooden paths between boiling mud pools and hissing streams, marvelling at the vivid colours of the ground and rocks.

The highlight of our journey is the exhilarating hike to the new volcano eruption site. We will traverse the available paths to the 2021 or 2022 eruptions at Fagradalsfjall and Meradalir Volcanoes. Witness the awe-inspiring new lava fields that merge with the recent eruption from the Litli-Hrut Volcano in 2023.
