What to Expect

Join us for an exhilarating hiking expedition to the summit of Snæfellsjökull mountain, the highest point on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. This full-day adventure promises breathtaking views and unforgettable experiences for adventure seekers, families, and friends. Starting our ascent, we traverse through lush landscapes, gradually revealing the majestic glacier-capped peak. The climb is a full ascent and descent, offering a rewarding challenge with a total elevation gain of 950 metres over the duration of the hike.

As we approach the mid-point of our trek, the path transforms into a thrilling combination of rock and ice. Here, the true essence of mountaineering comes alive as we navigate the glacier, climbing up to an impressive 1,418 metres. For those seeking an extra thrill, conquer the final steep climb to the summit at 1,446 metres. The panoramic view from the top is nothing short of spectacular, with vistas stretching across the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.
