Your journey begins with a visit to the islands where puffins nest during their season (early May to late August). After that, we head further out to sea in search of majestic whales.

Our specially designed RIB boats, with high-speed capabilities and exceptional stability, allow us to cover more ocean area, maximizing your chances of spotting whales, dolphins and other marine wildlife, providing an intimate and thrilling perspective at sea level. Our guides are experts in the local ecosystem and will share fascinating insights about the behaviour and habitats of these remarkable animals, ensuring an enriching and educational experience.

As the tour concludes, we’ll cruise back along Reykjavík’s shoreline, offering unique panoramic views of the city from the sea. How to Get There

We meet at the Whale Safari Office in the Old Harbour, 30 minutes before departure. If you arrive later then 10 minutes prior to the departure we can't guarantee that you can join the tour.

If you come by car, you will find free car parks nearby.

• We will require you to sign a safety waiver at our ticket office prior to departure

• Good health is important for this experience, we kindly ask you to ensure you're in good physical condition before participating

• Minimum height: 145 cm

• It is not allowed to bring your own drinks and snacks on board

• Not suitable for people with history of back or knee problems

• If bad weather affects the activity or if whales and dolphins are not spotted during the RIB tour, you will be offered the opportunity to join the Classic Whale Watching tour on a larger boat in Reykjavík or Akureyri
