The Lofoten dive sites offer an unparalleled opportunity to witness the vibrant marine life of the Arctic. You will have the chance to swim through spectacular kelp forests and fields of algae, where you can observe magnificent creatures such as jellyfish, urchins, and starfish. Keep an eye out for larger fish species like halibut, cod, wolfish, and flounder that roam these waters. With 27 dive spots to choose from, each offering its own unique underwater landscape, you will have plenty of opportunities to explore.

Dive Area

Dive into the mesmerizing underwater world of Ballstad & Lofoten, where depths range from 18 to 20 meters, revealing a vibrant ecosystem teeming with marine life. You will encounter stunning kelp forests, colorful anemones, and playful seals. A key fact about this location is its crystal-clear waters, offering excellent visibility for divers. Another highlight is the dramatic underwater topography, shaped by ancient glaciers. The exact diving spot is chosen depending on the sea and weather conditions and experience of the participants.

• Meeting time: 10 minutes before the start of the activity

Requirements

• Physical health

• If you wear prescription glasses, you need to be comfortable wearing contact lenses

• Open Water Diver certification

Bring Along

• Swimsuit

• Change of clothes

• Beach footwear for the boat

• Warm clothes, especially during winter

Good to Know

• Not suitable for toddlers, pregnant women and the elderly

• You are allowed to bring your own drinks and snacks

• Not recommended for people who suffer from any back problems, or had any back operations

• Diving spot can change based on weather conditions

• We do not have prescription masks available

• Maximum group size is 20 people
