What to Expect

Take advantage of this open water Diver Course in the réserve Cousteau for beginners and earn your level 1 diving certification! Start your adventure with a comprehensive briefing and theoretical tips at our base before we head straight to the sea. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the first dive, starting from the beach, getting you accustomed to the water and equipment. The following dives take you into the sea at depths of up to 12 meters, where you will practice key diving skills. The final dives reach a depth of 20 meters, providing an opportunity to explore the vibrant marine life of this iconic reserve.

Dive Area

Immerse yourself in the underwater paradise of Guadeloupe at the renowned Réserve Cousteau, where vibrant coral reefs flourish just 6 meters below the surface. As you navigate through this marine sanctuary, expect to encounter colorful fish and possibly even a friendly sea turtle. The exact diving spot is chosen depending on the sea and weather conditions and experience of the participants. Join us for an unforgettable dive that promises a breathtaking glimpse into the wonders of the ocean.

How to get there

• Meeting place: at our office in Bouillante, where the sign "PPK Plongée" is displayed

• Meeting time: 30 minutes before the start of the activity

• Car parks nearby: at the meeting place (paid)

Included Services

• Certified SSI diving instructor

• High-quality diving gear (all you need for your dive: wetsuit, mask, fins, octopus, weights)

• 5 dives

• Drinks (Planter's Punch and Syrup upon return to the club)

Requirements

• Ability to dive to a depth of 20 meters

• If you wear prescription glasses, you need to be comfortable wearing contact lenses

• We require a diving fitness certificate from a doctor

Bring Along

• Swimsuit

• Towel

• Sunscreen, sunglasses and hat

• Remember to bring cash (€35) as some fees will need to be paid on-site

Good to Know

• Not suitable for people with bad heart conditions

• We have prescription masks but please let us know in advance if you want one

• Please note that we will send you a list of contraindications for diving, which you will need to review once your booking is confirmed.
