What to Expect

Our private surf lessons on Trois-Bassins Beach are an exciting way to dive into the world of surfing. This course is beginners friendly with a qualified instructor, ensuring that even those new to surfing feel confident. With a choice between a 1-hour or 1.5-hour session in small groups of up to four, you will have plenty of personal attention. The program covers the basics of surfing, starting with a warm-up to get you ready for the waves and a short safety briefing.

Our surf school provides a supportive environment to learn and enjoy the ocean. Ideal for those wanting to start their surfing journey, you will learn about safety, balance, and basic techniques. The lessons take place on Trois-Bassins Beach, known for its gentle waves and beautiful scenery, perfect for beginners. You will build on your skills, starting with paddling and balancing, and progressing to catching your first wave by the end of the course.

• Meeting time: 15 minutes before the start of the activity

• Car parks nearby: at the meeting place (free)

• Public transportation: the next bus stop is within a 2 minute walk

• During school holidays in La Réunion, surf lessons will start 30 minutes earlier

Good to Know

• For visitors coming from Saint-Denis or Saint-Pierre: avoid choosing the first slot, as you may already be on your way if it gets cancelled (more than an hour's journey)

• In case of bad weather conditions (swell, wind) or shark watches, the activity may be rescheduled or cancelled

• The meeting point may change at the last minute due to reinforced shark monitoring; the instructor will inform you one hour in advance
