Nestled in the awe-inspiring French Alps, Grands Montets offers breathtaking views and a variety of challenging terrains. The resort is renowned for its excellent facilities, including modern lifts and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it a favourite among ski enthusiasts.
Our Team Rider lessons are specially designed for young advanced skiers aiming to enhance their skills both on and off the piste. The first lesson begins with a warm-up on the wide-open slopes, where the instructor will assess each child’s technique. This is crucial for tailoring the lessons to improve their confidence and technique. The group then moves to more challenging areas, where they learn to tackle varied snow conditions and develop a keen awareness of mountain safety. These skills are essential for mastering the slopes and enjoying skiing to the fullest.
As the lesson progresses, participants will explore the scenic backcountry of Grands Montets under the watchful eye of our experienced instructors. They will practice advanced carving techniques, learn to navigate through trees and narrow paths, and experience the thrill of off-piste skiing. The focus is on refining their skills while instilling a deep appreciation and respect for the mountains. What should I wear for my lessons?
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
When should I collect my equipment?
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Do I need to wear a helmet?
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Where can I buy a ski pass?
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Do I need to book my lessons in advance?
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
