At the valley station of the Astbergbahn in Going, near the ticket office and ski racks (Marchstraße 53, 6353 Going am Wilden Kaiser)
These private off-piste skiing lessons for teens and adults from 15 years provide a thrilling opportunity to venture beyond the groomed slopes and experience the untouched winter landscapes of the Going am Wilden Kaiser and SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental area. With the option of one-on-one instruction or in small groups of up to 6 participants, these lessons are tailored to your skills and goals, offering a safe and exhilarating environment to explore the deep snow. Participants need to have good skiing experience on intermediate or advanced slopes, but no prior off-piste skiing experience is required.
The experience begins with a detailed introduction to off-piste safety equipment, including avalanche transceivers, probes, and shovels, along with a short briefing on the basics of risk awareness. For first-time off-piste skiers, the focus is on building confidence in deep snow conditions, mastering weight distribution, and learning how to adjust speed and control in variable terrain. Under the guidance of your experienced instructor, you will explore gentle, untracked slopes and rolling terrain, gradually becoming comfortable with the distinct feeling of freeride skiing. For more experienced off-piste skiers, the lessons progress to steeper runs and challenging lines, developing skills such as quick turns, controlled descents, and navigating forested or narrow sections.
Guided by a certified professional who prioritizes safety, these lessons offer a perfect mix of adventure, learning, and freedom, ensuring you walk away with improved skills and unforgettable memories of pristine alpine powder fields.
We meet at the valley station of the Astbergbahn in Going, near the ticket office and ski racks, 10 minutes before the start of the lesson.
