On the snow front of pré-chabert in Le Mônetier-les-Bains (78 Rte des Guibertes, 05220 Le Monêtier-les-Bains)
At the Pontillas Cable Car
At Serre Chevalier, we offer private ski lessons for children from the age of 3, whatever their ability. Whether it is their very first time on skis or they already have some experience, we tailor each lesson to their needs. With one-to-one guidance from our instructors, children can progress at their own pace, learning to handle their equipment, make their first turns, or refine techniques such as parallel skiing and controlling steeper slopes.
We also give families the option to book as a small private group of up to 8 children of a similar level. This way, youngsters can enjoy skiing together while still benefiting from personalised instruction. We adapt our teaching style to each group, making sure every child stays motivated, safe, and steadily improving.
With Serre Chevalier’s varied terrain and inspiring alpine setting, we create the perfect environment for young skiers to gain confidence, develop their skills, and share the joy of skiing with us.
We meet on the snow front of pré-chabert in Le Mônetier-les-Bains, 10 minutes before the start of the lesson.

You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
